Faith Williams, Therapist
Faith Williams is a Licensed Professional Counselor Resident in Virginia who has been working in the mental health field since 2020, gaining extensive clinical experience throughout her graduate training and professional work. She earned her Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling at Old Dominion University.
In her counseling sessions, Faith focuses on the client, using a blend of approaches such as cognitive behavioral techniques and a client centered approach. As a trauma informed therapist, she works to create a safe and supportive environment while connecting through empathy and understanding each client’s unique cultural background. Faith places strong value on cultural competence and is intentional about addressing the mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual aspects of a client’s well being.
When working with adolescents, adults, and young adults, Faith incorporates creative interventions inspired by her specialized training in mindfulness. This creativity extends across all sessions, helping create an environment that is both stimulating and supportive. Faith is committed to staying up to date with the latest evidence based practices through ongoing professional development, ensuring that her counseling approach remains effective and holistic.
Her communication skills support clients in feeling genuinely heard, and her passion for mental health advocacy guides collaborative goal setting tailored to each client’s needs, regardless of age or background.
Outside of her counseling role, Faith is deeply connected to the arts. She enjoys singing, painting, and exploring music. Traveling abroad is also one of her passions; she finds inspiration and grounding in experiencing new cultures and landscapes. Whether she is belting out a song, getting lost in a canvas, or discovering a new city, these creative outlets keep her inspired both personally and professionally.
