Lindsey Moscak, Therapist
I have been a resident of Norfolk for over a decade and a lifelong Virginia native. I gained my BS in Psychology and Human Services at Old Dominion University and MSEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Old Dominion University. I have been practicing since 2018 and have worked with a variety of populations during my career, including LGBTQ clients, individuals suffering from anxiety and depression, survivors of abuse, individuals suffering from substance use disorders, individuals struggling with major life changes, individuals struggling with perfectionism and/or people pleasing, and people struggling within relationships.
I have a background working in both inpatient and outpatient settings with teens, adults, couples, and families. I primarily utilize a CBT and DBT approach in my sessions but also have experience and expertise in trauma-specific modalities, relationship and communication skills building, mindfulness modalities, and empowerment approaches. I have worked extensively with individuals overcoming the effects of narcissistic abuse, individuals struggling with low self-worth, and various personality disorders.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative relationship in which I work to find solutions that align with your personal goals and values. Flexibility and empathy can be positive tools to assist people with finding more joy in daily life. While therapy can be challenging at times, I hope that you are able to see the value in those growing pains. You are not alone in this process and I am happy to be with you on your journey to mental wellness. In my free time, I enjoy horror movies and books, cooking new recipes I see on TikTok, and spending time with my spouse, child, and 4 cats. If you meet me in a telehealth session, you may get to meet some of my fur babies.
