Counseling with Children and Teens For some youth, it is as easy as learning a few skills to identify their emotions or challenge their thoughts. For others, they need someone who cares and seeks to understand their unique experiences. Lisa would like to support your child (ages 5+) as they learn and grow into the people they were meant to be. Counseling with Individuals Often life experiences lead to feelings of anxiety or depression. Lisa will work with you to identify the stumbling blocks in your way, learn new skills and tools to overcome these challenges and see improvement in your mood, symptoms and daily life. By considering you, as a whole person, she will take into account the different facets of your life and how they are impacting you and the goals you want to achieve. Background Lisa has over 9 years experience working with kids using a foundation of family systems therapy. She started her professional career working with children in foster/ adopt situations and those who had experienced childhood trauma. Since then, she has expanded her passion to working with children, adults from diverse backgrounds and situations. Lisa is a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and blends it with techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT & TF-CBT)
