Kristin Puleo, LMHC
KL Puleo helps teens, adults, and older adults throughout Washington navigate emotional challenges, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions with warmth, authenticity, and evidence-based therapy. As a therapist at LifeStance Health, she provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy tailored to each person’s unique experiences and goals. KL specializes in helping individuals manage anxiety, trauma, and depression while also supporting patients facing a wide range of additional mental health and relationship concerns. KL is especially passionate about helping people heal from trauma, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with a sense of purpose and self-understanding. She understands that many individuals come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in painful patterns that affect daily life, family dynamics, and personal well-being. Her therapeutic style combines compassionate listening with practical tools that help patients build resilience, improve communication, and move toward meaningful change. She strives to create a culturally responsive and affirming environment where people feel safe exploring difficult emotions, identity concerns, grief, and life transitions. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, mindfulness-based techniques, and additional evidence-based approaches, KL develops personalized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s strengths and needs. She also provides psychological testing and evaluations and has experience supporting individuals from the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and people with autism spectrum disorders. In addition to her core specialties, she offers support for concerns including ADHD, substance use, sleep difficulties, and couples or family conflict. Since beginning her clinical practice in 2013, KL has remained committed to helping patients create healthier relationships with themselves and others. She completed her education at Medaille College, University at Buffalo State University of New York, and University at Buffalo. Outside of her clinical work, KL enjoys hiking, fishing, skiing, kayaking, yoga, running, weightlifting, gardening, photography, cooking, reading, and creative arts. Her appreciation for movement, nature, and creativity supports her holistic perspective on emotional wellness and balance.
