Beth Harms, Therapist
Beth Harms, LPC
Beth Harms is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Wisconsin. Additionally, she maintains standing with the NBCC as a nationally certified counselor and has licensure as a substance abuse counselor (SAC-IT). She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With more than 20 years of experience working in non-profit settings with diverse populations, Beth has had the privilege of caring for people of all ages, genders, and races, and considers it an honor to be in the mental health counseling field. Maintaining a holistic approach to counseling provides Beth with the ability to view the whole person and to consider how each dimension of a person’s life impacts the others.
Pulling from a combination of modalities, she utilizes evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), as well as person centered therapy and emotionally focused individual therapy to assist in treatment planning.
Individuals who may feel stuck in life, who wrestle with depression, anxiety, past trauma, or other mental health needs, are looking for relief, for hope, and for a new way of doing things. Providing a safe and non-judgmental space for you to share your experiences is vital for you to feel comfortable disclosing what is truly on your heart. Beth will offer you that place of comfort and safety, and will work with you to uncover past strategies, explore your strengths, and help you as you navigate your path forward to living your best life!
Outside of work, Beth enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, kayaking, playing the piano, and enjoying good food!
