Thomas Galten is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and clinical substance abuse counselor (CSAC) working with individual adults, couples and families with children. He has been practicing since 1994, when he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a master’s degree in social work (MSW). Tom’s therapy style is relaxed and reflective and he seeks always to create and encourage an atmosphere of trust, good will and rapport with those who come to him for counseling. He is client-centered and strengths-based and believes in the client’s capacity to achieve higher levels of empowerment, freedom, happiness and overall well-being. Tom conducts therapy with individuals, couples and families from a widely diverse cultural background. He is accustomed to addressing all concerns which people typically bring to counseling, including depression, anxiety, drug/alcohol abuse, couples’ issues, parent/child concerns and bereavement. In addition to his clinical degrees and licenses, Tom holds a master’s degree in theology, which has prepared him well to comfortably address the spiritual issues about which many people report concern.

My therapist is Thomas Galten based in Glendale, WI. Tom is excellent. He is a great listener. He offers valuable insight into the issues I bring to therapy. My healthcare provider recommended LifeStance as an alternative to their issue of not being able to see me in the clinic for quite some time. My experience of LifeStance is only positive. Good choice of matching me up with Thomas Galten.
