Amanda Buschmann, Therapist
Amanda Buschmann, LCSW, helps patients in Wisconsin find steadier emotional footing and practical strategies to navigate life’s complexities. She supports teens, young adults, adults, and seniors through individual therapy at LifeStance Health, offering a compassionate space to build coping skills, strengthen insight, and create lasting change. Amanda is especially committed to supporting individuals who are transitioning back into daily life after a recent psychiatric hospital stay. She approaches this work with deep respect and clinical care, helping patients reestablish stability, manage symptoms, rebuild confidence, and integrate new therapeutic tools in a sustainable way. Her experience with complex mood and anxiety symptoms allows her to meet patients where they are and guide them toward greater resilience. Her core clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, and trauma-related conditions, along with additional experience in bipolar disorder, ADHD, and women’s mental health. She also offers specialized support for first responders, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those connected to adoption or foster care. Amanda uses evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and provides additional interventions as needed. Amanda is passionate about helping people navigate significant life transitions, relationship stressors, grief, and health-related challenges. Her therapeutic style is grounding, collaborative, and centered on building practical skills that patients can use beyond the therapy room. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, attending concerts, and traveling.
