Emogene Flegner, Therapist
Emmy is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults. Emmy has exceptional experience with individuals diagnosed with a wide range of mental health disorders and developmental disabilities, including Anxiety, Depression, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and behavior disorders. Her special interests include treating anxiety, trauma, providing behavior treatment, play therapy, psychoeducation to parents, couples and family therapy.
Emmy approaches each client uniquely with enthusiasm, empathy, and dignity. She incorporates several treatment modalities and a variety of client centered therapeutic approaches to help the client identify and understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. She utilizes a strength based and solution focused treatment strategy to empower the client and facilitate change.
Emmy received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her Master of Science degree in Community Counseling from Concordia University.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, gardening, cooking, art, and reading.
