Deanna Brenner, Therapy Clinician
Deanna Brenner, MSW, LSW, helps individuals and families across Illinois build stability, insight, and practical skills to navigate life’s challenges through compassionate, evidence-based individual therapy. At LifeStance Health, she partners with children, adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors to address emotional distress, strengthen coping strategies, and support meaningful change in everyday functioning. A central focus of Deanna’s work is supporting clients who are recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital and those participating in court-ordered treatment. She is especially passionate about helping people reestablish routines, reduce the risk of rehospitalization, and regain a sense of autonomy during these critical transitions. Her approach emphasizes collaboration, clear goals, and continuity of care to help clients feel supported while meeting clinical and legal requirements with dignity and respect. Deanna treats concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD/trauma, and she offers care informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also works with select populations including LGBTQ+ individuals, people on the autism spectrum, and military members and veterans, while offering additional areas of support beyond these specialties as needs arise. Her therapeutic style is structured yet warm, blending skill-building with reflection and mindfulness to help clients understand patterns, manage symptoms, and build resilience. Deanna values creating a safe, affirming space where clients feel heard and empowered to make progress at their own pace. Outside of the therapy room, Deanna enjoys reading, exploring the city, spending time with loved ones, and caring for her cats.
Deanna Brenner provides services with supervision.
