Cierra Swait, Therapy Clinician
Cierra Swait, ALMFT, helps patients in Illinois find clarity, emotional relief, and sustainable coping strategies when navigating life challenges. She provides a grounded, collaborative therapeutic space for teens and adults, including people navigating midlife transitions, relationships, and later life stages. As a Marriage & Family Therapist Associate at LifeStance Health, she supports individuals, couples, and families through difficult emotional terrain with warmth and clinical insight. Cierra brings deep experience in ADHD, anxiety, and depression—helping clients understand how these conditions shape their daily functioning, relationships, and self-perceptions. She often works with teens and young adults building identity, adults managing role expectations, and older adults facing later life transitions. She tailors sessions using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Couples/Marital Counseling to address negative thought patterns, improve communication, and strengthen emotional regulation. Cierra also offers additional interventions and therapeutic approaches when appropriate. Cierra is especially passionate about working with individuals recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital, providing compassionate reintegration support. She helps clients rebuild confidence, trust their internal resources, and establish routines that support long-term emotional stability. Her work with Autism Spectrum Disorders and LGBTQ+ populations is grounded in affirmation, curiosity, and respect for diverse neurotypes and lived experiences. Cierra offers Individual Therapy, Couples Therapy, and Family Therapy, and treats patients ages 15 and up. Outside of the therapy room, she loves tapping into her creative hobbies—candle-making, journaling, scrapbooking, painting, casual photography, reading, and enjoying movies, music, food, and weekend shopping.
Cierra Swait provides services with supervision.
