Christine Ussher, Therapy Clinician
Christine Ussher helps adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults throughout New Jersey navigate emotional challenges, life transitions, and personal growth through compassionate, evidence-based therapy at LifeStance Health. As a Licensed Social Worker, she creates a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. Christine provides individual therapy for concerns including anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also supporting clients facing grief, obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, and later-life transitions. Christine is especially passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, and those navigating identity development and emotional regulation challenges. She strives to provide an affirming and inclusive therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences without judgment. Her work with individuals from the LGBTQ+ community, as well as clients with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities, reflects her commitment to personalized care that honors each person’s unique strengths and lived experiences. Her therapeutic style is warm, thoughtful, and person-centered, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions to help clients build coping skills, improve emotional resilience, and develop healthier thought patterns. Christine tailors treatment to each individual’s goals and values, recognizing that healing looks different for every person. She works with teens, adults, women, and older adults seeking support for stress, trauma recovery, sleep concerns, and major life changes. Christine’s professional background includes experience in higher education mental health, school social work, and community-based case management, giving her insight into the challenges individuals face across different stages of life. She earned her education through Ramapo College of New Jersey and Montclair State University and began practicing in 2025. Outside of her clinical work, Christine enjoys reading, puzzles, hiking, and spending time with her two cats. Her calm and empathetic nature helps clients feel comfortable building trust and working toward lasting emotional wellness.
Christine Ussher provides services with supervision.
