Andrew Russell, Therapy Clinician
Andrew (Andy) Russell, a provisionally licensed clinician at LifeStance Health, provides compassionate and evidence-based mental health care to individuals, couples, and families in Tennessee. Andy has a BA in Government from The College of William & Mary and an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Tennessee. He supports clients of nearly all ages through a range of challenges, helping them navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions and grief, and relationship concerns with tailored treatment plans designed to foster long-term well-being.
Andy is trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and incorporates parenting skills training in his work with children and families to support healthy relationship dynamics and communication. He also practices Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) to help children regulate and express themselves pro-socially. His work with couples focuses on strengthening relationships and improving emotional connection through structured, evidence-based interventions. Using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness practices, and family therapy, Andrew adapts his approach to fit the specific needs of each client.
Outside of his practice, Andy enjoys supporting the Tennessee Volunteers, running, brewing kombucha, and watching “60 Minutes.” His personal interests reflect his appreciation for balance, curiosity, and a lifelong commitment to growth—values he brings into his clinical work.
Andrew Russell provides services with supervision.
