Blessing Adekanye, Therapy Clinician
Blessing Adekanye, LPC, helps patients develop clarity, emotional stability, and healthier coping strategies as they navigate life’s challenges. Through LifeStance Health, she provides therapy for teens, adults, and seniors across Texas, offering a supportive space where individuals, couples, and families can explore concerns and work toward meaningful change. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes thoughtful listening, evidence-based treatment, and practical tools that empower patients to improve their mental health and overall wellbeing. Blessing specializes in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma. She works collaboratively with patients to identify patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress and helps them build skills that promote resilience and long-term growth. Using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), she guides patients in developing healthier thought patterns, strengthening emotional regulation, and creating sustainable coping strategies. Blessing also works with concerns such as ADHD, grief, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and life transitions. Blessing is especially passionate about helping individuals facing substance use challenges and alcohol or drug-related concerns. She understands that substance use often intersects with stress, trauma, or emotional pain, and she approaches treatment with compassion, respect, and clinical insight. Her work focuses on helping patients gain awareness of underlying patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and move toward recovery and stability in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. In addition to individual therapy, Blessing provides couples therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. She has experience supporting individuals connected to adoption and foster care, as well as those living with autism spectrum disorders or developmental disabilities. When appropriate, she may incorporate faith-based perspectives and mindfulness-based techniques to support a patient’s personal values and healing process. Outside of clinical practice, Blessing values personal growth, faith, and lifelong learning. She enjoys studying topics related to mental health and emotional wellness, facilitating small group discussions about purpose and goal-setting, and spending time outdoors in nature to recharge and reflect.
Blessing Adekanye provides services with supervision.
