Alex Post, Therapist
Alex Post is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado who has been practicing since 2019. She has a BS in Philosophy from California State University of Stanislaus and an MS in Clinical Mental Health from Walden University. While she is well-versed in a variety of counseling approaches and methods, Alex tends to approach counseling from a cognitive and behavioral as well as emotion-focused manner. Our thoughts, behaviors, and reactions can be used as powerful tools to enhance our quality of life. Likewise, emotions don’t just appear out of nowhere, they come from somewhere and they show up in various areas of our lives for different reasons.
Each feeling is valid, and you are allowed to feel the way that you feel. It’s amazing how powerful that permission can be for us if we just let ourselves feel. That can often be the first step to figuring out what is causing that feeling and where it comes from. Life is an incredible journey that can sometimes feel overwhelming. Alex wants to work with you and come alongside you for the journey, developing healthy patterns that will empower you to live a rich and full life. Alex is so excited to meet you and chat with you. Let’s design the life that you want to live! Outside of work, Alex loves to play D&D, read science fiction, play with animals, and have amazing adventures with her tiny human.
