Matthew Russell is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Colorado who has been practicing since 2023. He has an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Northern Colorado. Matthew is compassionate, relatable, and effective and has experience in individual psychotherapy, group therapy, marriage/couples work, and at-risk youth, utilizing evidenced-based practices via the structured lenses of CBT, CPT, and DBT. As a fellow veteran of 20 years, Matthew has extensive experience in the military and our veteran community, clinically understanding the myriad of facets related to PTSD and trauma-related mental health issues.
Outside of work, Matthew has a personal passion with connecting with nature in the outdoors through several venues with family and friends such as fishing, backpacking, archery, shooting, and camping. He enjoys the new hobby with his wife as a beekeeper, tending to the needs of their wonderful backyard pollinators.
