Michelle Cass, LPC, helps children, teens, adults, and older adults across Michigan navigate emotional and behavioral challenges with compassion, structure, and evidence-based care. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individual and family therapy tailored to each patient’s needs and goals. Michelle works with patients experiencing ADHD, anxiety, and PTSD/trauma, while also supporting concerns related to depression, grief, school avoidance, and life transitions. Her thoughtful and collaborative approach helps patients build practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen confidence in their daily lives. Michelle is especially passionate about helping individuals and families affected by childhood behavioral issues, trauma, and anxiety-related concerns. She has experience supporting children, adolescents, and teens who may be struggling at home, in school, or socially, and she partners closely with families to create supportive environments for growth and healing. Michelle incorporates evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness techniques to help patients better understand their emotions, develop healthier thought patterns, and improve overall well-being. She also offers additional therapeutic approaches and support for a variety of mental health needs. In her work with diverse populations, Michelle values creating a safe, affirming, and respectful therapeutic space. She has experience supporting individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, patients with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities, and families involved in adoption or foster care. Her therapeutic style is warm, patient-centered, and focused on helping each individual feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout the counseling process. Michelle began practicing in 2014 and brings years of clinical experience helping patients across different stages of life. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family and playing with their Belgium Sheepdog. She and her family enjoy traveling to destinations such as Cancun and the Bahamas, as well as taking road trips together. Michelle also enjoys attending conventions for the TV series Supernatural, walking in nature, and photographing natural scenery.
