Holly Kegel, LPC is a licensed therapist practicing at LifeStance Health in Wisconsin. Holly has a wealth of experience and training, bringing support to the mental health community in Wisconsin and across the country since 2010. She has a rich background in ministry, where she volunteered for many years, providing support and guidance to children, teens, couples, and adults. During her graduate studies, she interned at Change Point in Spokane, Washington, where she worked with women in transition. Here, she provided psychotherapy and psychoeducation on life skills, parenting, and self-esteem with self-care. After earning her master's degree in Agency Counseling from Whitworth University, Holly worked as a Designated Mental Health Professional (DMHP) doing crisis work. She volunteered at Serve Moses Lake in Washington, conducting intakes and counseling for those in need of food, clothing, and shelter. Throughout her own life’s journey, Holly has pursued extensive training, becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Brainspotting. Returning to Wisconsin to be closer to family, Holly continues to provide compassionate and effective care. At LifeStance Health, Holly works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma, and those needing anger and stress management skills. She employs a variety of therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Gestalt therapy. Holly also offers life coaching to help clients achieve their personal and professional goals. In her therapeutic approach, Holly is guided by her belief in the inherent strength and knowledge of each of her clients. She believes they know themselves better than they realize, and when deciding to face their pain in a safe therapeutic relationship, they can obtain the right skills, leading to an increased quality of life. In her free time, Holly enjoys sewing, riding bikes with her spouse, singing, and playing the 12-string electric/acoustic guitar. She finds these activities both relaxing and fulfilling, providing a creative outlet that complements her professional work.
